Receptra Topical Hemp Balm

Next Level Pain Relief with Topical Full Spectrum Hemp

The therapeutic use of cannabinoids/hemp extracts goes back thousands of years. Hopefully most of you know that your body is programmed to respond to this plant species as it possesses an endogenous cannabinoid (endocannabinoid) system. That means your body both makes cannabinoids and has receptors for them.

Phytocannabinoids (PCs) come from hemp plants; over 100 PCs exist with dramatic differences in absorption and interaction with your receptors. Western medicine has primarily focused on THC , found in cannabis sativa and indica, commonly known as “pot” or “marijuana”, with strong psychoactive properties (and not the focus of our article). The other PC you probably have heard of is cannabidiol (CBD) and is available through over-the-counter (OTC) products.

The problem with our research derives from “what about the other 98 PCs?”, and how do they affect outcomes? What I do know comes from research showing that CBD-only products do very little for pain relief and products with THC often have side-effects that people find unacceptable.

So, when I recommend full-spectrum hemp, it actually misses the highly regulated PC THC, but has the other 99. In the review: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0925443920301162?via%3Dihub

In “The molecular mechanisms that underpin the biological benefits of full-spectrum cannabis extract in the treatment of neuropathic pain and inflammation”, published 07/2020, we find an excellent review of how these compounds work.

That is why, when we recommend a “CBD” product, it must come from full spectrum hemp, standardized to CBD so that we know it is a true hemp extract. We also know it may work better for topical pain relief than anything you have tried, though it might work less effectively due to your biochemical individuality.

I have included a minimal list of the “entourage “ effects, meaning synergistic effects of topical hemp extract (see picture below). As little research exists on these products in humans, they do work amazingly well in animal research. If you have arthritis or  sore muscles, it definitely behooves you to “do your own research” by trying these products, not by reading about them, as each individual responds differently. Some people even need to go to their local dispensary and try products that include THC.

The Receptra Naturals products we recommend and keep in stock are not the only game in town, but if you have tried other products without success, try these. The Serious Relief + Arnica  topical is well formulated with arnica and essential oils which improve absorption as well as having their own clinical efficacy.
